DAY 1 : Mcleodganj to Kareri village (Height 1900m Distance 13km)
This village is inhabited by shepherds who have small holding of terraced fields. The trek passes through Tibetan children village, Dal Lake, Stobari and ghera along Pine trees. Gentle descent up to Ghera and then followed by a seep climb of about 2.5 km to reach the rest house.
DAY 2 : kareri village to Kareri lake (Height 3150m Distance 13km)
The trek goes steeply up to Kali Mandir or one can trek via Rohli which is a longer trek with mild ascents. The trek goes all along Kareri Nullah between a valley thickly wooded on both sides. There is a Naag Mandir (Shiva temple) on the enterance of the dried lake.
DAY 3 : kareri lake to Minkiani Got (Height 3250m Distance 10km)
It takes about 3-4 hours to reach the pass. Sudden weather change, blizzards and white out conditions are a common phenomena at this pass. Minliani Gote has a beautiful camping area, towards east the trek goes to the famous Lamdal Lake and north it descends to Chamba valley.
DAY 4: Minkiani Got to Lam dal (Height 3900m Distance 10km)
Lam Dal is the biggest Lake in Dhauladhar range is considered as the abode of Shiva and is sacred. On the way to Lam Dal is Kali Kund a small lake shaped like a well and surrounded by rising hills.
DAY 5 : Minkiani Got to Darkund (Height 1800m Distance 15km)
From Lam Dal the trek descends down the valley along Lam Dal stream. Night stay at Drakund rest house surrounded by thick apple orchards.
DAY 6 : Drakund to Dunali (Height 2190m Distance 40km)
It takes about two hours to reach Dunali on the main Chamba - Bharmour road. The villages are scattered but linked with each other.
DAY 7: Bharmour (Height 2190m)
Full day rest at Bharmour and visit to 84 famous Temple called Chaurasi Temples, and Mata Bharmani 2km from Bharmour. Night stay in hotel.
DAY 8: Bharmour to Hadsar (Height 2440m Distance 17km)
Bharmour to hadsar drive by jeep (17km) from Hadsar to Dhancho is about 8km steep ascent.Dhancho is the base camp for trekkers enroute Manimahesh Lake. Gouri Kund nullah (stream) forms a huge waterfall at Dhancho. Night stay in Tents.
DAY 9 : Dhancho to Manimahesh lake (Height 4115m Distance 15km)
From Dhancho a big trail steep up 5km to Gouri Kund is gradual ascent for 2.5km to Manimahesh Lake.Manimahesh is a small glacial lake situated at base of Mt. Kailash is the highest lake in Dhouladhar and Pir Panjal ranges. Thousand of people go on pilgrimage to this lake every year in august. Lunch at lake side and back to Bharmour. Night stay at Bharmour.
DAY 10 : Bharmour to Dharamshala via Chamba (Distance 250km)
A short drive to Chamba from Bharmour can view the famous Laxmi Narayan Temple and the Bhuri Singh Museum also Housing Kangra Paintings. From here we take a cool night drive back to Dharamsala by jeep.
